DAPHNE RACKLEY
Deputy Chief Information Officer (DCIO), City of Atlanta
Daphne Rackley is the Deputy Chief Information Officer (DCIO). In this position, she is responsible for information technology that spans over 25 departments including Public Safety, Justice, Operations, Administration and Hartsfield Jackson International Airport. She also provides leadership for the ongoing development of an innovative, robust and secure information technology environment. The primary responsibilities for this office encompass a wide variety of strategic technology issues such as governance and policy, resource allocation, information technology protocols and implementation of new systems.
Daphne is a Mechanical Engineer with over nine years of IT and Solutions experience and over 20 years of management experience across multiple industry markets. She led teams through major projects and organizational changes and consolidations. Her accomplishments are executing and implementing an Enterprise Governance Board, Applications Portfolio Management System and Application Rationalizing Strategy; and consolidating Enterprise Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
She is passionate about the youth, evident by her volunteerism in exposing children to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math).
